Ryo at 1 month

Ryan at 1 month. Some pictures.

The New Friend

Meet Ryan's new friend. He arrived today. I am not sure if it is love at first sight. I know it was not for Richie. There is something to be said for the bond between a boy and his dog.
We are working on a name.

The Amazing Rubber Pet

We have always known that Richie could squeeze into places, but we had no idea the maximum squeezing ability. Sure he squeezed and dug himself under the fence in the back yard one day about three years ago. However he now has a new feat...

Richie has found a new space under Ryan's bed. We were amazed when he squeezed and crawled his way under the crib. It is a small area. Truly another amazing being in our house.

Happy Thanksgiving! Or at least the day after anyways.

I am sitting here typing one handed. Ryan in one arm and the other to try and attempt any task that I can, truly a challenge.
It does seem to be an agreeable compromise. I get to do something, he does not cry, everyone wins.

Last night after arriving home from a teriffic meal at my parent's house(9 PM), mr. little man did not want to go to sleep. Even though he was tired, full of milk, changed, and sleepy, he did not find sleep easily. Needless to say, I was up until about 1AM with him. So far today has been full of sleep.

Hope that everyone is having a restful holiday.

1 month

We have officially reached month 1.

I can not believe it. It seems like only yesterday that we were coming home from the hospital. Yet we have gone through 3 packages of new born diapers, 2 size one diapers (then realized that we still need new born size), 4 squeeze containers of vaseline, 2 diaper genie cartridges, 5 -6 wipes containers. I think our first day home we went through every piece of clothing he had. Plus a ton of swaddler blankets. So his wash was done the first day, the second day and even the third day. (We are doing much better now).

I am exhausted, tired, a zombie, and need some sleep. On the other hand, I have a little snuggler, someone who sleeps in our arms, stretches, sighs, and smiles, someone who is growing each day, little eyes that grow as big as saucers with each new experience. The amazement and wonderment makes me laugh and cry at the same time.

Our house is settling in nicely. Codi and Richie have both given in to Ryan and show concern when he cries, annoyance when he cries for too long, curiosity with each coo, squeak, and rustle.

So we are celebrating tonight with a shower and nap (for me) and lasagna and meatloaf made by my Mom.

Welcome and O my

Welcome to the Obro/ O my o's Blog!

This is something that I have been contemplating for some time now. Just ask around. The hardest part has been coming up with a name. I like alliteration and tried working something that would go with the basic day to day of our lives and last name with out completely using our last name (I would like to keep some privacy if possible on the www). And here it is... O my o's.

We have had so many O's recently it all just seemed to fit.

So here it goes, our "O" blog.
